WHO WE ARE

The Marblehead Neck Association (MNA) is a not-for-profit organization formed for the purposes of:
-
maintaining and improving the Neck as a residential neighborhood;
-
informing residents on any subject of public interest so that they may for an opinion of their own choice
-
assisting in the promotion of work for the benefit of public property; and
-
taking part in events and communications to promote the cohesion and well-being of Neck residents.

Board SubCommittees
-
Traffic and Safety – review and assess residents’ concerns regarding public safety and emergency planning for presentation to town officials. Typical Issues include condition and closing of the causeway, public recreation activities, door to door solicitation, signage, traffic and parking control.

Marblehead Town Relations – monitor town management activities and issues relevant to residents, attend public meetings, meet privately with town officials and update residents of the status.

Public Space Improvement– address the maintenance, use, and safety of public spaces, primarily Chandler Hovey Park, Turtle Beach (extension of Devereux Beach at Harbor & Ocean Avenues), Castle Rock Park and the Massachusetts Audubon’s Wildlife Sanctuary.

Event Committee – This group organizes community events, such as our Neck Author Series, as well as our annual Lawn Party.
